Using “ engineering sourcing ” term, it is generally understood as the methodology used to source customized and complex products for which technical knowledge and process understanding is key for decision.
At SAOS, with two experienced engineers being operations managers, technical sourcing has been our main strength from the beginning. Therefore, not only we do aim at managing projects in a consistent way, defining strategies according to clients’ targets, but also we support our customers on highly technical concepts by combining theoretical analysis with suppliers’ manufacturing data. Our process has proven records of exceeding customer expectations, one example being button batteries for a wireless device. During the project, our analyze was more accurate and valuable than an expertize from a famous European lab being simultaneously consulted.
While our expertise is more focused on electronics products/components Like LCD, batteries, GPS, mobile handset, etc… we also had successful experience less electronic oriented products like high precision sand-castings for automotive and more recently on aluminium casting and extrusion. Our process allows us to handle new projects very effectively.
